WIVB's Don Postles set to retire

Another "End Of An Era" in Buffalo Broadcasting. Don Postles, a fixture at the WIVB News 4 anchor desk for 32 years, will retire on December 19th, as announced by the station on Wednesday. At 73, Postles is one of the few local media figures to have anchored for all three major Buffalo news stations. His Buffalo journey began in April 1976 when he joined WKBW-TV, replacing Jim Gardner, who had moved to WPVI-TV in Philadelphia. After leaving Channel 7 in 1987 to work for another Cap Cities station, KFSN in Fresno, Postles returned to Western New York in February 1988 to join WGRZ-TV, Channel 2. In 1993, he completed his “Buffalo Television Hat Trick” by joining WIVB Channel 4. We look forward to celebrating Don's amazing career over the next several weeks!
