The Two Unaired Jeopardy Pilots You've Probably Never Seen
Every show that gets launched almost always tests several different versions to see what they'll look like. The Alex Trebek-hosted versions of Jeopardy! were no different. There were two of them that were never shown on TV, one in 1983, the other a year later.
"The pilot from 1983 was recorded on September 18 at the TAV Celebrity Theater and seems a bit more subdued. By the next pilot on January 1, 1984, you can tell the music is more upbeat and the lights brighter, hoping to bring some excitement to the quiz show. Both episodes certainly look different than they do today."
If you're a fan of the quiz show, you might say "what is see them at the link below Alex?"

The first episode had the original manual revelation of the clues. I wonder if the 2nd and 3rd place contestants got to keep their winnings like in the original Art Fleming version. I thought Jay Stewart as an announcer, was better on Let's Make A Deal. On both episodes, money was left on the board in both single and double Jeopardy. That doesn't happen now. One thing that confuses me. The syndicated version of Jeopardy premiered September 10, 1984. If the January 1984 episode is a pilot, why is the third contestant introduced as a returning champion with a sizeable amount of money already won.
