Preset Predicament: How To Replace What's Gone

We knew it was coming and now it's here - the delayed launch of the new 1150 and 820. I have several radios that now are left with a big hole to fill on the presets for AM. I can substitute Funny 820 with the new CKOC. But that still leaves room for a new entrant where Bloomberg 1150 used to be.

Frankly, I have no idea what to put there. So far, it's filled with the usual AM choices - 610, 640, 680, 1010, 740, 960 etc. Any suggestions what should get the last newly opened spot on the digital dial?

How about a night time station like WCBS? Oh right. It's going too.

Maybe KYW?

Re: Preset Predicament: How To Replace What's Gone

I have a few night-time only ones on there, but I'd prefer one that comes in 24 hours a day to fill the void. Not a big sports fan, so 1050 is out, although I do have 590 for Jays games. The same goes for WGR. Not much there for me.

I honestly can't think of anything that is something I would willingly want to tune into that has a listenable signal.

Walking the dog at odd hours will never be the same!

Not repeating others' suggestions (many good ones):
1280 Ryerson, er TMU
1460 CJOY while it lasts
900 and/or 1540 (between sunset and sunrise) to join the DX parade, reporting what you hear...

Re: Preset Predicament: How To Replace What's Gone

I'm late in saying thanks for all the suggestions. Some are worth considering. Others I don't think would work. The TMU station at 1280, for example, is so weak where I am in North York, I'm not even sure the signal would be listenable.

But it certainly says something about the state of radio. I have a device with 19 presets, a combination of both AM & FM. And I can't find enough stations I like to fill them all. That's pretty sad.

I sometimes listen to CKDO at AM 1580, oldies, they slip in some rare/seldom heard ones from time to time.

The reception ain't great and I'm not sure how often All Trump radio would be on my playlist. Yet I think it is one of the presets, just to fill some space.
