SOWNY Accessibility
For the last two days, after trying on multiple browsers, I can't get to this website on my laptop. I have only been able to get to it on my phone.
Any ideas why?

No idea. First time I've ever heard of someone having this issue. I've found Boardhost to be completely useless in responding to any questions. So any suggestions from others here would be welcome.

Can't say I've had the same problem. I just tested it with MS Edge and currently use Firefox and everything's fine. On many browsers there's a safe mode that temporarily disables extensions (add on programs) in most browsers so I would Google it to find out how you can try that in case something was added to your browser that doesn't agree with it's operation. Nobody is dumber than I am with computers. But I haven't experienced that issue.

I was having some issues with the Sowny.net web address yesterday, but the gta.boardhost.com url seemed to work okay.

Last year i could not access SOWNY through Google. Still can't. Duckduckgo, Bing and Firefox all give me easy access.

Are you using a VPN?
I use a VPN & it's fine with almost all sites.
However some sights, like PcOptimum, occasionally don't like my VPN & I have to either temporarily turn the VPN off or connect thru a different VPN server.
A few other sites, like PC-Canada or Canada-computers or ticketmaster, just won't work at all when using my VPN.
Or, like mace mentioned, try a different browser to see if that works.

Having no problems getting in with Chrome on my Mac, or Firefox on my Android phone, both with uBlock Origin installed and active... I use the address to access the board.

This stopped working a while back on Edge, Chrome and Duck Duck Go for a few weeks. Nothing worked, then it just came back.

Sowny.net stopped being reachable by that URL also for me for the last few days on one ISP. I switched to on that ISP and that's fine, and on my phone (different provider) sowny.net is still reachable.
Using a tracert shows it's completely timing-out in the intermediate; fine at the ISP end, fine at the AWS end. Might be one point in the routing has spam/blacklisted it?

If that's the case, it would be terribly ironic, since I pay a few hundred bucks U.S. a year to keep it ad and spam free!

I had also run "Down for everyone or just me?" and it reported down:
It's not just you! sowny.net is down.
So, not an individual user error/issue for sure.

sowny.net finally showed up on my laptop. Just had to wait it out.

Reachable again for me as well.
is now reporting "Up".
