Is your car radio able to display information on what station you're on and what song is playing? I doubt it's a big deal on most people's list of auto accessories, but Detroit's WCSX-FM claims it helped boost its ratings significantly.

How? They used the display for a contest to win concert tickets, and claim the results met with huge success.

The future of promotion for in-car radio or a one-off? The medium is infamous for its copycat nature, so we'll see if other stations elsewhere decide to try the same tactic.
