For Coronation Street Fans Who Go Back A Long Way

 Came across this in a Nov. 1965 TV Guide - long before Canadians knew what Coronation Street was. Love the Herman's Hermits reference. Guess Peter didn't know he was into Something Good...

Thanks for this! I haven’t watched Corrie in years (shockingly, some of the storylines and characters are too stupid to be believed), but I listen to a Corrie podcast that’s been running for 11 years now. I’m going to forward this article to the hosts, who always enjoy any Corrie minutiae, the older the better!

The CBC purchased the first 260 1960 episodes from ITV in April 1966 and ran them mid afternoon. Currently running at 7pm, the CBC episodes are roughly three weeks behind those airing in Britain.
