What happened to Mike Bullard?
Seems to be gone from Newstalk1010? At first I thought he was on vacation but all traces of him are now gone from the website. Anybody have any information? I really enjoyed his noon-hour show.

Mike Bullard is no longer with NT1010
For now, my wildest guess is that he's working with Diamond and Diamond still, doing ads and some internet stuff...

Bullard has tweeted that he's "on a leave" from CFRB and "off on personal stuff".

He does say he is on leave but every reference on the NewsTalk website is gone. Hmmm.

I was told he's on leave for a few weeks. I know nothing more. But I wouldn't use the website as a barometer of staffing, it tends to get updated when other hosts are filling in, doing vacation relief etc. I'd guess it's a no win, if Mike's show is listed, people assume he's on air and tune in to listen, then get cheezed off because the website is 'out of date'. If his show isn't listed, the questions start..

His show was poor but far from the worst. Maybe he'll show up somewhere else.

Well, either he has some health or family or other personal issue he has to attend to or CFRB has decided that the noon show isn't working and have put him on hiatus until they figure out where to move Bullard and/or what role he's to have at the station - or there's some sort of disciplinary issue but I suspect if that was it it would have leaked out. If he either quit or was fired or non-renewed I don't think he'd be Tweeting that he'd be implying that he's coming back to RB.

I, for one, really enjoyed listening to Mike. I usually caught the podcast later, as I wasn't able to listen during the noon hour. I think he is a breath of fresh air, and actually very funny. Not sure why Chrisphen feels the need to slag him. Here's hoping everything is ok with him and that he turns up somewhere else soon!

I'm not slagging him. I'm slagging his show, teunis. It wasn't good, though feel comforted in the fact that there are worse shows hosted by worse people.

Heard his voice on the radio today, got me so excited, oh wait it was just a therabreath commerical during the noon hour slot. oh well. But on the 1010 site, Mike's image is still there, but it just says that Jim is filling in for him.
Seems very suspicious that this started around the time that iheartradio started popping up.

I emailed the station to inquire and this is the reply:
We can confirm that Mike is no longer with Bell Media Radio. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours. We can’t get into the details of programming plans or changes, but Mike is pursuing new opportunities outside the company.

Whether or not one is a fan of Mike Bullard, @ this moment you have to scroll back to Sat to find a topic with more posts; indicates people are interested in Mike Bullard, no?
