Ah ... the fine art of side-tracking to avoid addressing or reacting to a point.

Once again, Jody is bang on : )) .. as was radiokid & pretty much most others who've responded to the OP.

It's prudent to remind some that when one is in a hole, STOP digging .. Duh!!

I have to admit I was never a fan of the original "Big Bang Theory," now seemingly a daily staple of CFTO's line-up whenever they need to fill a blank space in their schedule. But I don't dispute it was a huge hit, so to each his or her own.

Now there's yet a third spin-off coming of the Chick Lorre show, this one called "Stuart Fails To Save The Universe." It features a peripheral character from the old show with a twist. And this one sounds intriguing to a sci fan like me.

"In it, comic book store owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman) is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon. (The contraption is something Sheldon and Leonard worked on after the end of the original series.)"

The question is: will you be able to watch it? It's been ordered by HBO Max in the U.S., a streaming service not available in Canada, although I can't imagine it won't turn up on either Crave or HBO Canada. It may be ready to debut by next spring.

If the original was a favourite of yours, this could be something to keep an eye out for.

At least in this universe...

He started out in newspapers, but for the past 24 years, Paul Bagnell has been one of the chief hosts and correspondents for BNN Bloomberg, Bell's cable business channel.

But now he's decided to cash in his chips, confirming he'll be retiring from the network on July 18th.

You don't have to a viewer of BNN to know who he is. He's been featured extensively on CTV News over the years to give background on breaking business stories. It's the end of a very long media career and there's no immediate word on what he's going to "invest" his free time in.

SOWNY » Is TV The New Radio? » Yesterday 7:23 am

I wonder how Stingray Music does here, and if that's any indication of how true RA's link may be.

To me, it seems like an interim step, because if you no longer buy cable/satellite, then you wouldn't access these services.  I find most of my music on YouTube or even on TV shows.  My partner watches "... And Just Like That" a lot (terrible show), and I head a song played by a band named "Tele Novella".  Some great stuff.

I'm not sure if this is the same guy, but there's a Scott Penfold on Linked-In that shows a guy with that name and extensive radio experience. He's based out in Vancouver, but we all know that location no longer matters when being on air in a different market.

If this is him - and again, I'm not sure - he doesn't even bother listing CKOC on his resume. But you have to wonder - how many Scott Penfold's can there be in radio in this country? Anyone know if this is the same guy?

Scott Penfold on Linked-In

Your link reads "Page not found" but, is this the guy?
I went to Wayback machine and found his pic on the CKOC page from last January.

I just checked the link and it works for me. Not sure what's going on.

Try this one:

And yes, that's the pic on his Linked-In page, so it has to be the same guy. Looks like if he lost or left the 1150 gig, he's not out of work!

Um yeah, we had radio stations on the old Rogers boxes but the new Ignite boxes (now Xfinity) didn't come with that option.
