Looks like people really loved 89X.
If it's simply a format flip and Bell doesn't eventually sell it the people who are excited will be disappointed.
Now if it gets into the hands of not Bell, Rogers or Corus there might be hope...

Unless 98.1 could switch to Classic Hits and adopt the “Cool” branding just like the Blackburn stations in Chatham, Sarnia and Wingham.
98.1 has a great on air team right now. A flip to Classic Hits going head to head with Rogers JACK 102.3 would be an interesting move. Was it here I read the rumor that Blackburn was pursuing a purchase of CHST-FM?

They did. I won $20 LOL.
It was a fun promo. I've been listening quite a bit. I think the station is going to be a fun listen ( granted its a music format I favor )
If Jon Pole does one thing really really well it's the launch. This station they stunted the stunt. The guys talking in the shed prior to the 3 pm Friday " launch" were pretty funny.. This 10000 song launch is pretty cool ( it's not " The Pole" but I don't think you can replicate that. For like a day I even thought it was the actual station and we just tripped over it at work by accident online) I'd imagine we start to hear the real thing sometime near September based on how long it will take to play 10000 songs...

Still playing the AC music on the FM but is stunting the new classic rock format online at oxfordtoday.ca
Personally looking forward to a station that comes in clear for me in a format I enjoy and with local news content.
Country looks to be staying Country and launching at noon

I'm looking forward to MY Broadcasting operating the two Tillsonburg stations in the market they are licensed to! What a noble concept.
I'm not sure where Stan's hate is coming from but to each their own I guess.
I was kind of disappointed to tune to 101.3 and find it's not even stunting just playing the Rogers AC playlist that has nearly killed the station..
Come on Jon bring " The Pole" to Tillsonburg for a couple weeks!!
