102.1 The Cross

Not expecting much reaction to this as 75% of you are white, right-wing men over 55 that pound dashboards to 640 and 1010 and listen to re-rolls of 1050 CHUM to get it up when you forget to re-fill your Cialis prescription but here goes... Anybody else getting tired of Alan Cross all the time on 102.1 The Edge?

I know it must have been hard for him to leave Indie 88.1 for the cash CORUS lured him back with…no qualms here, everyone has a price, and after all isn’t it all about the music, man?....but he’s on morning, noon and night...considering their target demo I’m thinking he needs to shut up and just program the new music they are now (or weren’t they always?) all about?

Re: 102.1 The Cross

Anybody listening to the new music  on 102.1 isn't young. They are just as old as every other fm listener. They probably realized this and stopped the fantasy of bringing millenials back into broadcast radio.
Old people like new music too its the medium that they get hung up on.

Re: 102.1 The Cross

Actually, that's an interesting point...so they have given up on attracting younger listeners through their old school means?...they'll milk what they can via the still interested dial and button users until they all die?

Re: 102.1 The Cross

At some point they must have realized that the pool of new listeners is growing smaller everyday. Best to try and maintain what you have.

Re: 102.1 The Cross

Or change what you are doing...either way, Alan Cross is a name inside the business only.
