What was your most satisfying fund raising experience?

Radio and T.V. stations have been involved in community fund raising events for as long as I can remember.

I grew up in Ottawa and remember watching CFRA Morning Man Ken "The General" Grant host the Jerry Lewis telethon, Ottawa feed.

CFRB raises money for Sick Kids Hospital, Bell has the Bell Let's Talk Days and the list goes on and on.

In fact, I met Nat Lauzon, when she was at CKFM 99.9 at the Kids Help Phone Bowl-a-thon. She was doing cut-ins from the event, to promote the work the Kids Help Phone Foundation does.

Here is an article out of Radio Ink...about how one station exceeded expectation with a fund raising event, they did.

What was one of your most satisfying fund-raising events when you were working in the business?

Working in media, was a bit more fun, because of that community interaction and that "give back"!
