Re: CTV launches two free streaming services

Well, their Throwback section has both The Larry Sanders Show and Community, so it can't be too bad.

Of course, this being Bell my other question has to be - how long will it stay free and what's their ultimate goal? I'm guessing there must be a CraveTV tie-in waiting in the wings somewhere.

Re: CTV launches two free streaming services

Both of these services launched December 6 last year. They do promote them a bit on CTV and CTV2 but mostly on the CTV.ca website. Both channels have improved a lot over the past six months or so with more and more old tv shows and movies added.

I think the end game is just to prevent people from buying any of the other retro pay services that are coming on. They killed Comedy Gold two months prior to these two free services launching, which is sort of interesting. So from a business point of view, could be a smart move.

I bumped it to show that there are places to get older TV series.

Re: CTV launches two free streaming services

Do they have reruns of Uncle Bobby, The Starlost or The Trouble With Tracy?
