A few days ago, it was revealed that XPRES - a Mexican border blaster that broadcasts into Southern California - had changed format from a religious Spanish outlet to oldies. The secret sauce for the place is that it will use old voice tracks from radio greats like Wolfman Jack, Charlie Tuna and the Real Don Steele.

The only thing missing was a website. Until now. The station is now online and available anywhere in North America. The music is great. The radio legends are even better.

You can find it at :

Enjoy!

Well, that was quick. This great oldies format from Mexico took to the air in November, but now, poof!, it's gone. The guy behind the idea had his lease with XEPRS run out and not renewed, so the music died on Feb. 27th. He's looking to buy an FM in Southern California and vows to return it to the airwaves (which means we could hear it here over the web), but there are no known stations for sale and no timeline that he can actually make it happen.

So my guess is it's over. The station used old airchecks of late classic Top 40 announcers, including Wolfman Jack and The Real Don Steele, along with music from the 50s, 60s and 70s. It was great while it lasted, which unfortunately, wasn't very long.
