The Southern Ontario/WNY Radio-TV Forum / CBC Issues Warning About Job Offer Scam Using Its Name

The broadcaster says many people have been receiving spam offers of jobs at the CBC, using IDs like "CBC World News" and "CBC Press."

But the positions are not with the network, so it's issued a warning to anyone with a broadcasting bent that the jobs being offered don't exist - at least not with the CBC - and to beware of providing any personal information.

Is this CBC job offer real?

If it is appearing in an email format, just scroll (your mouse) over to the sender's name. (the part that reads "CBC")
If you see a bunch of letters and numbers @ a bunch of letters and numbers (dot anything...)
then that's your CLEAR giveaway that this is a scam.

The real CBC has a proper CBC address for their email send outs.
