Regarding RB's claim on radio buy's, have to wonder if they got approached back then to run ads for "half of men over 40 have problems with erectile dysfunction". Might have got them some audience attention in 1950's conservative Toronto? How things have changed and the mighty have fallen.

This ad is between September 1948 [when CFRB moved from 860 to 1010] and June 1949 [when Jim Hunter passed away]

At least that ad could be run today. I'm not so sure the one below, from 1944, would pass muster in the modern era. The depiction of the Indigenous person would almost certainly not fly in 2024.
