Reality TV - is the tide turning?

According to this article, the marketplace for reality TV in the U.S. (and hence on Canadian screens as well) is drying up due to lower budgets, tighter scheduling and the reluctance on the part of both streamers and network TV to take chances on new ideas.

Reality TV - is the end at hand?

Not to hope for anyone's demise, but I can't stand reality TV, which often isn't about reality at all. I, for one, would not be sad to see less of it on broadcast TV.

It can't be easy surviving on a beautiful South Pacific island surrounded by camera crews, medical-evac teams, helicopters and a luxury yacht out in the bay.

Brutal reality, that's what it is. Brutal!
