Over the weekend I stumbled across a great documentary on TVO that traces the history of soul and raggae music in Toronto.  Hosted by Jay Douglas who was the well known lead singer of the band The Cougars.  It is amazing how much material was recorded and released, but none received any airplay on Toronto or Canadian radio.  You'll be surprised by the quality of the songs.
