Well that would be the third. Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Ozzy, and now the Hulkster.

He was entertaining back in the day. I never had much use for him in recent years.

They say they come in threes. Hopefully, that's it for a while.

From the AP:

Hulk Hogan, icon in professional wrestling, dies at age 71

He wasn't just a wrestler. He was also an actor.

A movie from 1989 that he starred in:  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097987/

Wow. It's a bloodbath this month. Don't forget we just lost Connie Francis as well. So that would be five!

Mangione was from Rochester, and stations there were among the first to break the news.

Rochester music legend Chuck Mangione has died at age 84

Jesus died 2025 years ago. This has been a problem for quite awhile. So don't expect 26, 27 and any year after that to be any better.

The irony is that with Mangione's passing, there will be innumerable playing of 'Happy'.  If it wasn't for that piece and Streisand's 'The Way We Were', WBUF FM in its soft adult era of the eighties would have been dead air. 🤨

Was just remembering on the Mike Stafford show when someone famous would pass away, Patrick would pipe up and say " Stop it (insert the current year) ! " It became a funny/sad recurring bit.

I can think of a couple of actors, comedians , authors, radio personalities and musicians who I hope are with us for a good long time to come.

Would there even be a Dwayne Johnson without Hulk Hogan?

To speak about the human (inhuman?) flaws and less than charming aspects of a recently deceased public person can only be a good thing.

Stop it 2025!

Passing sort of under the radar (sorry…) George Kooymans aged 77 this past Tuesday.
Founding member of Golden Earring of Radar Love and Twilight Zone fame.  Oddly I have more Golden Earring tunes on my iPad thingy than I have Ozzy/Sabbath and Chuck Mangione combined.  Two Earrings to zero of the other guys.  Three, if we’re counting the Earring adjacent Stars On 45.
Pouring out a Grolsch for Kooymans.

I still remember with teary-eyed affection how Hogan (Terry Bollea) once said he would only tolerate his daughter marrying a ni$#@er if he was a rich basketball player.
What a guy he was and a real role model for kids.

He was a contemptible clot who sold out his friends and co-workers well before the world came to realise his shitheaded proclivities.

RIP Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Hulk Hogan's daughter: Dad, I'm marrying a rich black basketball star, you said you wouldn't mind.
Hogan:  Well, OK I guess I reluctantly agree.
Hulk Hogan's Daughter: Oh by the way dad, she's with the WNBA.
