I was wondering how the public can access those ratings. They are not PPM markets, so they have been difficult to impossible to find in recent years.

I know they do ratings here in London, because I've been a participant.

Its amazing how Virgin London is still #1 in the ratings compaired to FM96. I wonder how CKOT-FM’s ratings might do after the takeover by MBC.

Just so I can fully appreciate and understand the Windsor rating card...

CKLW is ranked #1

Is that AM800 ??

TIA

AM 800 CKLW has been at or near the top of Windsor's rating since the 1990's.

I have a feeling that 580 CKWW will switch to an Ethnic format in the long run. I just don't know when.

I am keeping an eye of what happens next in London. I will not make a prediction this early.

London has a south-Asian, ethnic station, a Christian station, Radio I, CBC Music, Radio Canada and Radio Western plus a dozen or so others. The dozen or so others are all awful and they all sound like each other.

The only two with any merit are Radio I and Radio Western.

I have to wonder whether CKLW is actually #1 in Windsor or whether it’s just #1 among Canadian stations available in Windsor and the real #1 is a Detroit station. I remember liking WRIF 101 when I’d been down that way.

At an 11 share, I’d guess yes.

None of the Detroit stations pass that in the Detroit book.

Lots of listening to that market, but very splintered.

CKLW’s share in the spring diary of 2021 was 16.7, compared to the 11.4 scored recently. Will the technical slide of the AM band force a migration to the FM band at some point? CFOS and CFCO are the latest stations to decide that the future is on FM, not AM.

When the CRTC receives an application for an addition radio station in the Windsor radio market, both the Ontario and the Michigan broadcasts are mentioned. Some of that information might still be available.

On the documentary known as "The Rise and the Fall of the Big 8" I think they said that about 60 percent of Windsor radios were tuned to Detroit radio. That video came out a number of years ago, and that has likely changed.

Thank you!

I also appreciate Radio Western, go ol' 94.9 CHRW.

Have had a few guest spots djing there in the past.

An alumni to us at DOPEfm is The Word Is Bond Radio with Chase March.

Always solid when I tune in.

Wish they (radio ratings) captured listening properly for all stations in the land, no matter the market or format.

For instance, even an 0.2 for limited signal/audience would be good ratings for CHRW (this is fictitious, but an example of opinion)

Im in Hamilton and Country 104 from that market always blasts in almost like a local.

CHRW has been a good training ground for broadcasters. Blue Jays play-by-play commentator Dan Shulman got his broadcasting start there, when he was a student at UWO in the late 80s.

Very briefly tuned into CKOT 101.3 yesterday. They still identify as London - Tillsonburg a Rogers radio station.

I'd guess at least September 1 before MBC takes over.

Classic Rock 98-1 looks like it will stay with Blackburn Radio.

How did they do in the ratings? I don't see them listed.
