It got hotter, or in this case "Hot doggier"...

He's Back!!!!

Yup you got it, hotdog eating champion Joey Chestnut is returning to the 4th of July, Nathan's hot dogs annual event in New York.

He took a year off the contest last summer, and the year before he downed 62 hot dogs, to take the "Mustard Belt" and win.

Pardon the pun, but to be "Frank", that's gross.

It just goes to show you, that there is wiener born every minute! 😊

I guess it makes sense that eating contests are popular in nations that have an obesity concern.

Sure he is great at eating hot dogs. What about other foods? Maybe he should take on tiny [she really is small] Molly Schuyler. She went to Ward's House of Prime Rib in Milwaukee and consumed 22.5 lbs [360 oz.] of prime rib in 90 minutes. To put that into perspective, 20 years ago I went to the Texas Longhorn Cafe in Mississauga and ordered their Bellyacher ribeye steak [33 oz] with baked potato. It took two two hours to finish everything and my mouth was tired from chewing. I would never have attempted the Belly Buster [80 oz ribeye] They did give me a free t-shirt for my achievement.

To answer Stefanie's question, I don't know where else you would position this event on various media options. ESPN has taken it on and thus it fits into the sports market.

Oh Mace, I went to a steak place in Dallas (The Trail Dust Steakhouse) and they offered a 72 oz. steak, if you ate it all, you didn't have to pay.

Mind you, they might have to call for an ambulance to take you to the hospital's cardiac centre.
