I noticed that the Darker Times in Washington post has now reached nine pages of comments. Is this a record or close to it?

It's certainly close, although I haven't exactly been keeping records. But the caveat is that it's a political catch-all and deals with a number of different topic off-shoots, all related to Agent Orange down south. (I realized I could not stop the politics, so I tried to offer this thread as a place where people could express their rage, even if it was not radio related.)

That said, the SOWNY single actual radio/TV topic that I think holds the record is this one from June 14, 2023. It went on for two months and 8 pages.

Bell Cuts 1,300, Closes 6 Stns., Including CJBK, Selling CKOC & CHAM

You can see why that one was so big and went on for so long.

I also post on the Michigan Board. They had one thread that went on for over two years. The subject was "Shay's Jugs."

It was a thread devoted to the mammary endowments of a certain TV weather lady in Detroit.

I'm guessing that thread about Kathryn Humphreys probably holds the record for longest time elapsed between posts.

I was just thinking the same thing. It dates back to the very first day that Iain Grant restarted this version of SOWNY, more than 10 years ago.

I believe this holds the record for the Buffalo-Rochester board. One-hundred pages and counting.

I have spent a bit of time on this post and it is pretty interesting.  Songs that I had forgotten about and many I had never heard.  Lots of comments about cancon, both good and bad.  Also shows that the posters on the Buffalo/Rochester Radio Discussions do listen to Canadian radio.

Sort of disturbing that this board seems to be fading.  They can go days and days with no new content or comments.  Same with Radio Discussions Detroit.
