There's nothing wrong with wanting a highly paid athlete to be fit. The guy is killing the team with the team with his hitting into double plays and clogging up the bases. Turn off your woke button.

This never happened to Ricky Henderson 

Rickey Henderson never caught a game in his 25 seasons in the major leagues, including the 44 games he played for the Blue Jays in 1993. 

The question is, during his time in Toronto did Rickey listen to CHOG, as CFTR had flipped to all news a few weeks before he was traded by Oakland to Toronto.  Or was Rickey a devotee of Sports Radio The Fan on 1430?

If he did listen to 680, was he hoping CFTR would have transmitter issues and go off the air so he might have a clear shot at KNBR, "the Sports Leader".

I wonder if Rickey ever went over to Devon White's place after Blue Jays games to see if they could catch KNEW carrying the Oakland A's games on 910.   Although I guess CKLY might have made things tough for him.

Yes, the Jays games on Tuesday and Wednesday were more of an embarrassment.  This would include all of the team, not just Kirk. 

I thought that CKLY didn't move to FM until around 1998, which likely caused a few distraught listeners to jump into the Scugog River.   I believe Rickey was back in Oakland that year.  So he probably was able to listen to KNBR in the dugout with teammate Matt Stairs, as long as it didn't disturb manager Art Howe.

Reports of Kirk's collapse have been exagerated
