Flaccid Follow-ups

Why are today's Ontario journalists not insisting on getting specifics with their follow-ups?  Today I heard a reporter ask the Premier for specific facts.  His response was Sarah Palin-esque.  Zero revelations but gosh darn it sounding folksy seems to be a pass with the scrum.

The follow-up had nothing to do with the original question.  The Premier sounded like he's winging it and media is letting him get away with it.

Are they afraid of something or what dynamics are at play behind the scenes?

Re: Flaccid Follow-ups

It must depend on the reporters who are there.  They have pressed so hard some days it has bordered on unprofessionalism.

Re: Flaccid Follow-ups

If only Hayley Cooper was still there to lob suspiciously limp softballs at our rotund leader.

But seriously, if he sounds like he's winging it it's because he is. He is shitting in our mouths and declaring it filet mignon. Contrary to some opinions posted in this forum, there are still a sizeable number of stenographers in the press who will parrot it.
