Here is a brief report on the fact that Canadians are switching back and forth between cable and online streaming...I sense it is kind of a love hate relationship.
Just wondering if one of the providers will develop a "hybrid" blended package for customers.
Enjoy the read.

I'm only happy if there is no sim sub in my home.
Don't like it Bell Rogers & others?
Too bad!
Create more Canadian content exclusive to Canadian TV channels.
News is good, yes, but more can be produced to get people to (by choice) freely watch CTV, City TV and Global.
Create a Canadian game show already.
People will watch.
(or do feel free to pay for the rights to copy a UK game show...)

Deal Or No Deal is back after a decade absence, airing on, of all places, CNBC in the U.S.
Perhaps Global/Corus can do another Canadian version like they did the first time. And as a bonus, returning host Howie Mandel is from Toronto to make it even more CanCon-y.
