In addition to Gem, they're adding something called CBC Comedy, which will feature not only the network's regular shows like Son Of A Critch and Schitt's Creek, but also stand-up and other specials. (Wouldn't the disputed Wayne & Shuster material look good there!)

And they're going to roll out a series of provincially-based all news streamers, which will presumably include one for Ontario. But the initial freebie will be CBC News BC, which covers British Columbia. 

No exact word on a date for either FAST channel, which will be free, but they're scheduled to be available in the fall. One question they haven't answered: will shows like Critch still be available on Gem, or will all the comedy that fits the brand be shunted over to the new site?
