She lives in New York, but she oversees Canada's national broadcaster. Whatever Catherine Tait does, she did it well enough to get another term as President and CEO of the CBC. The extension is in effect until January 2025.

That was meant as a little inside joke. I obviously didn't indicate that properly and could have phrased it better. Thanks for making it clear to those not in on the jest.

A little "inside joke" for who? Love the condescending comment for all of those that weren't in on the "jest." Yes you could have phrased it better, but why ruin a chance to say something negative about CBC....right RA?

I'm sorry. I forgot that the CBC is like Elliot Ness - one of the Untouchables. No one should make even a small joke about or in any way denigrate such a fine and august institution.
Oddly, many of the comics who appear on the network make fun of it. I guess they'd better stop immediately. Wouldn't want any hurt feelings!
Everyone has a different sense of humour and I may not find funny some things you think are hilarious. Even in such an overly sensitive world, you're still entitled to laugh and poke fun at things you find worthy of satire. I will claim that right, as well.
But you are correct about one thing - if I'm going to joke about the CBC, I could certainly have come up with much better material than the one I tried here. After all, they give us so much ammunition!
