It was one of the truly great cable comedies and a spot-on devastating satire of late-night talk shows. The Larry Sanders Show, starring Garry Shandling, left TV for good exactly 25 years ago this week, after six years of skewering television. (My favourite character was Rip Torn's "Artie.")
