For political junkies. CPAC's Alberta election coverage begins at 9pm tonight as does CTV News Channel. CBC News Network and Radio Canada's RDI begin at 10pm. Although right now both CTV and CBC are flipping back and forth between Toronto and Edmonton/Calgary.
Could be a close one tonight. Sort of interesting to watch provincial election coverage since the local affiliates and the networks work together, and a chance to see the local news sets and news people.

CTV gave the Calgary broadcast more prominence tonight buy simulcasting it on CTV News Channel. Calgary was expected to be the battleground for the province. Vassay was at the desk as a panelist but didn’t contribute that much, speaking mostly in generalities. She left the desk briefly for a live hit on an updated edition of CTV National News at 1 am eastern time. The National News was done outside at CTV Calgary judging by how quickly Vassay moved from one to the other. There wasn’t a new newscast for BC. BC viewers were told that the NDP hadn’t conceded yet but in reality they had an both leaders has given their speeches.
CTV Edmonton was more of a local broadcast.
Both stations ended their coverage at exactly the same time with the Edmonton anchor being cut off at the very end of the broadcast.
