I found this on the CityNews website. an article long since archived. It's from one of the reunions of CHUM jocks in 2007, celebrating the legendary 1050's 50th anniversary as a top Toronto music station. In the story, Bob Laine, now sadly no longer with us, remembers the early days of the place, the very first record he ever played there and the night he and his operator both got locked out while they were in the middle of a shift.
It's very old and many of the people he references are unfortunately gone. But what a snapshot of a time long gone. It's not very long but it's a fun read.

Here's another one I found from the same week. A great memory flogger, this time featuring quotes from Duff Roman. Sadly, many of the links no longer work.
