If the first test of the technology is any indication, the answer is probably "no."

Fans watching the Celtics/76ers game Wednesday night were clearly irritated when U.S. cable network TNT kept cutting to a drone camera flying above the court to catch the action. The problem? The resolution was bad, the distance was worse and it actually made it harder to see what was going on.

My guess is they'll improve the thing and try it again. So you probably haven't seen the last of this technology.
