How Radio Helped Former CFNY Jock Survive Brain Surgery

It sounds almost like a tabloid headline, but ex-Spirit of Radio announcer Brad McNally tells the story of how his training in radio helped him during the most troubled time of his life - lying conscious in an operating room while doctors tried to remove a dangerous tumour on his brain. A fascinating read.

Re: How Radio Helped Former CFNY Jock Survive Brain Surgery

Happy that he made it through such dangerous surgery. Nice to read about Pet Sounds and Brian Wilson.and Brian Eno. I still remember a show that Brad did on CFNY on electronic music and he played Good Vibrations because it was the first popular record to use a synth instrument. The Theremin like sci fi gadget. ( had that program on tape but have not been able to find it). Some may argue that Joe Meek deserves credit as well for utilizing the Clavioline keyboard on Telstar.

Anyway I am venturing from the topic but great on Brad and wishing him all the best.
