This story goes back a very long way. It began when Pattison Media pulled off alternative format called "The Peak" off the air in Vancouver. The reason it got so much attention here was because they moved the entire station over to HD only, a highly unusual move for Canadian radio. 

Now, two years later, it's back on the FM band, with the owner admitting it "made a mistake." In another words, what they replaced it with didn't exactly work, either.

An interesting side note you don't often see in Canadian radio, with a station returning to its old format several years later.
