Unusual & Unique TV Series Credit Production Cards

On some TV shows, it's a simple production credit. But in a few cases, producers go all out to create a special final slate to show who created and produced a program.

My all-time favourite has to be the meowing kitten on the Mary Tyler Moore Show, a take off on MGM's Leo The Lion. (On the final episode of MTM's St. Elsewhere, they had the cat lying down hooked up to a heart monitor, which flatlined as the credits ended. It was brilliant.)

Some may also remember the freeze-frame-or-you-can't read-it message at the end of Chuck Lorre shows, like The Big Bang Theory.

Now there's another one. A production company called Colton & Aboud (named after the two men behind it) feature a phony record cover after each episode of their ABC sitcom, "Home Economics." Each cover is different, some featuring phony songs that purportedly appear there.

They go by too quickly to really read them, but here are just a few of the best, beginning with one that takes off on an old Eagles cover:

There are many more that they've posted at their website (which, fair warning, can be slow to load. But if you're curious, you can see all of them here.)

Here's that final St. Elsewhere ending I mentioned. Still one of the most creative production series-end credits I've come across and the perfect final shot from one of the best hospital shows ever on TV.

My favourite was the David E. Kelley Productions "You stinka!!" logo used from the late-90s to about the mid-10s. Legend has it that the voice of the old lady was actually Kelley's grandmother.
