The Globe and Mail interviewed a number of people who drew our attention in 2022 - including former CTV anchor Lisa LaFlamme, whose sudden firing made headlines around the world. In the piece, by investigative reporter Robyn Doolittle, the now idled TV newsperson refuses to talk about the infamous day she was let go, but reflects on a career that isn't finished yet.
"To this day, she says, strangers still regularly stop her to offer kind words and support. This, she says, has been a real comfort. Although, inevitably, people want to know what she plans to do next. Another show? Radio? Podcasts? A book? Something outside of journalism? LaFlamme says she honestly doesn’t know yet."
