RIP: Canadian Music Notables We Lost In 2022

As the clock winds down on 2022, we pause and reflect upon those Canadian artists and music industry luminaries who left us during the year. We remain grateful for their contributions. Unintended omissions are purely accidental, and for these, we offer our regrets.

I hadn't heard of the passing of R. Dean Taylor. I would think anyone who did top 40 radio in the 70's into the 80's played Indiana Wants Me countless times. RIP to all on the list.

It was last January, so there's probably good reason why you may have missed it here

A lot of people know R. Dean Taylor (the "R." stood for Richard) was one of the first white artists signed to Motown in Detroit, but I had no idea that he co-wrote "Love Child" and "I'm Living In Shame" for Diana Ross & The Supremes. A great talent for sure.
