I'm not sure how many here have ever tuned in "A Word In Edgewise," a kind of national Roundtable-type talk show, that airs on Corus stations across the country. (It's on AM 640 Sunday mornings at 8 AM.) It consists of several of the company's talk show hosts from around the country batting around the headlines of the week.
At a time when there's simply nothing else to listen to on the radio, I always found it pretty entertaining - when it actually aired in its scheduled time slot.
If you're a fan and missed it this Sunday, you also missed your last chance to hear it. Host Jon McComb began the program on Sunday by telling listeners this is the last one that will be aired and the show has been cancelled. No reason was given - it's not like the thing costs very much to produce.
Not sure what I'm going to listen to in that time slot as I walk the dog on Sunday mornings, but I, for one, am going to miss this show. And I'm sorry to see it go.
