A new Ipsos poll from the U.S. shows it's cost that matters slightly more than what's on any particular streaming service. While those who pay to see their favourite shows admit the variety of programming is part of what attracts them to a service, in the end it all comes down to the wallet - and how many they think are worth the price. Some 92% admit cost is their main concern while 87% say program content matters more. 

When asked how many would continue to be a subscriber if the price of their service rose $5 a month, 58% said they would be willing to shell out the extra funds. But that slips to 33% if the hike is $10. 



A majority agree there are already too many streaming services and the choices are sometimes overwhelming. 

As for who rules this virtual roost, it won't surprise many to learn that Netflix is still the top choice. What does surprise me is that Peacock, which is not doing very well, rates in this poll above AppleTV+ of those asked.
