Normally, a story about 100 years of radio in North Dakota wouldn't be a big deal here. And it's still not, but I thought this was unusual - a columnist from that state writing about how important a Canadian radio station is to the people there and why so many tune into what is in effect a pretty distant AM signal during the day.
It's not exactly the heyday of CKLW blanketing Detroit and Ohio. But it's fun to note two stations in the area are celebrating a century - and one of them happens to be north of the border.
