There aren't that many movies about radio that go on to make millions of dollars. Which is why this brief bio of former Vietnam DJ Adrian Cronauer is so interesting. Turns out the idea for the film that starred Robin Williams was the ex-disc jockey's own idea. But he originally wanted it to be a M*A*S*H-like TV show instead. The linked article also contains a brief listen to the real guy's famed "Goooooood Morning Vietnam" signature opening.

That reminds me that WEBY radio in Florida did a fabulous documentary back in 2015 about AFVN radio. I grabbed the stream and put the episodes up on a webpage.
