We now know why Mark Towhey wasn't there for the first two days of his brand new 7 PM national talk show out of NT1010, which debuted Monday. He suffered a heart attack on Saturday, experienced the joys that are Ontario's ERs, had an angioplasty at St. Mike's, was released from hospital and returned to the airwaves on Wednesday (with substitute host Deb Hutton as a just-in-case back-up.) 

As of Thursday night, he goes solo. 

Whether you like Towhey or not, you've got to admire his resolve in getting back to work. I just hope he isn't in too much of a rush. He's either really dedicated or really crazy - or both.
