What If Radio Stations Run By A Telco Had No Phone Service?

That's what happened Saturday night at the Rogers complex housing The Fan, CHFI, CFTR and Kiss.

Sho Alli revealed on 590's post-game "Jays Talk" Saturday night that the phones at the building that houses all four stations had no service and that his show would be text only for the evening.

Alli noted that "CityNews 680 depends on phones a lot more than we do," and told listeners that it may not be back until sometime on Sunday. Kind of embarrassing that a company whose main business is running a phone service can't seem to fix it in their own building. Another wonderful moment in Rogers' history.

Re: What If Radio Stations Run By A Telco Had No Phone Service?

To be fair, the choke exchange phone lines they'd be using could be on a completely different system than the rest of the Rogers network. Heck, it may even be Bell's fault as I believe they own the 416-870 and 416-872 exchanges. Still, I appreciate the irony.
