What Aren't Cdns. Watching As Much Anymore? Turns Out, It's Hockey

Not sure I entirely buy all the findings in this story because it's based on an online survey, but if it's true, the solons at both TSN and Sportsnet won't be happy. The Leger survey shows sports viewing overall is down - but nowhere has the decline been more pronounced than in hockey.

The reasons why are open to debate, but the article posits that it may have to do with the season extending into the summer, the delayed World Juniors being played in the same season, more choice via streaming - which is also distracting a younger audience, and an increase in newcomers to the country where hockey isn't exactly an established religion.

I thought young demos liked NFL football, and nothing was said about this in the survey.  Not much of survey on sports if football isn't included or mentioned.
