Sports Talk Radio Goes Into Overdrive As Jays Fire Manager
At last, both TSN 1050 and the Fan 590 will have something to talk about between games that's not about the Leafs new goalie. It comes as reports surface that the Jays have fired Manager Charlie Montoyo after the team's recent swoon both at home and on the west coast. (Either that or Rogers is trying to save some money for their upcoming outage rebates!)
Too often in the summer, there's not a lot to talk about on Toronto sports stations.
That certainly won't be the case this week!
(Interestingly, as of this posting, the story is all over TSN's site, while there's nothing on Sportsnet's, who you'd think would have the advantage on this kind of yarn.)

Well, I stand partially corrected. While the Fan is talking all firing all the time with Blair & Barker, TSN is discussing - what else? - the Leafs and free agency. Odd that 1050 would not pick up a breaking story like this and go with it immediately. Yet their websites are the exact opposites - TSN has it, Sportsnet does not.
Very weird.
[Edit: Just to clarify, the story IS on the generic Sportsnet site, but not on the specific Fan 590 version. You'd figure the local Toronto subsite would have it.]
