    missed the call

    Am I late to the party?  Just noticed the other day that AM 640's call sign is CFIQ.  I really hadn't paid any attention since they were CFMJ.  Also remember MOJO Radio? what a joke that was.

    A bit late. I noted the first time I heard the new calls on May 2nd.

    I'd be curious to know how long a station is legally able to go after a call letter change to actually use it on the air. In the case of 640, they went on for almost a full month using the CFMJ ID. It doesn't sound like their new liners are terribly complicated. So what took so long and were they in violation of any rules while deliberately using the wrong calls for such a long time?
