Radio Coverage For Leafs Playoffs: Bowen & Ralph Stay Home

Turns out it's not just Jays' play-by-play broadcaster Ben Wagner being forced to call away games from a monitor. Both Joe Bowen and Jim Ralph are stuck in a studio whenever the Leafs are on the road - and that won't change, even in the playoffs.

Imagine if this is finally the year the Leafs win the Cup on the road and the two men responsible for bringing it to you aren't there to share in it. What a disservice to listeners.

Here are TSN and Sportsnet’s playoff plans for Leafs radio voices Joe Bowen and Jim Ralph

A very large screen can only help the accuracy of their commentary.

Considering all of the Leafs social media posts use Joe for the audio... you would think they could find the budget to send them on the road?

He's a key asset to the fabric of the team.

grrrr .. wish I could actually watch the actual Leafs game with Joe doing the play-by-play.  i've never had consistent success trying to sync a radio feed with a TV broadcast.

The DVR solution would seem to be the easiest one.
