Erik Tomas Marks 30 Years Of Raceline Radio

The Toronto Star's Norris McDonald pays tribute to a radio veteran who has become the de facto voice of auto racing in Canada, with a show that originated at the Fan 590.

“The Molson Indy was roaring along in 1991 and I said (to program director Allan Davis) I wanted to do a show about racing. He was receptive right away. We got the green light and then to be on the air for 30 years with niche programming was almost unheard of,” said Tomas.

Erik was great when he did Leafs TV play-by-play in the '80s. I wish he had done more.
