Activist Chef Debuts New Saturday Talk Show On CFRB

His name is Mark Brand and as of Sunday, March 12th, he'll be doing a new show along the iHeart Radio Network in Canada - including CFRB. No word on what kind of topics will be raised, but according to Broadcast Dialogue, he's both a well known culinary expert and an activist based in Vancouver.

The show will also air on CFRA, CJBK and CKLW, among others. It's been a while since 'RB had a lot of original content on a Saturday night. I'm not a fan of foodie shows, but maybe this one will be different.

"Among the guests set to join Brand in conversations about true purpose and impactful change are entertainer Jann Arden; addiction expert and Order of Canada recipient Dr. Gabor Maté; media personality George Stroumboulopoulos; author and social entrepreneur Rha Goddess; chef and activist Suzanne Barr; and actor and arts activist Tim Daly."

Sounds like a pass for me, but at least it's not a reroll.

Re: Activist Chef Debuts New Saturday Talk Show On CFRB

Wonder if it'll last longer than "Viewpoints with Todd Van Der Heyden", which was their great hope (and 1010 carried it Saturday nights) "across all Bell Media talk markets". They rolled that out in Spring 2019 to much fanfare but it didn't stick around too long on most of the stations.
