I listened at 2 PM Monday just to find out what they'd do now that Jay Michaels is out of the picture for NT1010's afternoon drive show. Turns out Jim Richards was flying the plane solo, noting that Amanda Galbraith would be joining him for the final two hours. 

Is this the way it's going to be from now or is this just a temporary fix? A part-time co-host? They certainly had to know Michaels was leaving well in advance. Why they didn't prepare for his departure for such an important daypart is baffling. 

Meanwhile, Richards did let slip his feelings about being relegated to the graveyard shift. He noted his P.D. had yet to answer questions about what form this 'new' show would take, before noting something like, 'anything's better than going back on the overnight shift.' 

Giving the middle finger to that audience may not be the best idea, especially considering he could easily wind up back there at some point as Bell works out what's to become of their afternoon drive home show.
