Whatever Happened To The Fan590's Barry Davis?

It's not online yet that I can find, but the Toronto Star's Wheels section had an update on Saturday about Barry Davis, who worked at Sportsnet and the Fan for almost 15 years.

He's currently a car salesman at a Georgina Honda dealership, and also performs in tribute bands for both Tom Petty and The Cars. I'm assuming that The Star will eventually put this online and I'll try to add a link if and when they do. But a really interesting update on a long unheard familiar voice. And quite a change in employment direction from what he used to do.

I hate to be "that guy" but I guess the copy editor in me has never died.

There's an unnecessary apostrophe in the first sentence: "his love of Honda's" should be simply Hondas.

And no, I'm not The Stickler reincarnated.

The article still doesn't seem to be on the Star website, but here's the pressreader version.

That's just as good. Thanks, Lorne. A very good update on a once familiar voice. If memory serves, didn't he do afternoon drive on Sauga960 for a bit after they signed on? That didn't last too long.
