Is Ashby's Oldies Show Gone From The Evanov Lite Stations?

It wasn't there the week before Christmas, since they were playing all holiday tunes. But Xmas is over, they're back to their regular playlist - and there's no Ashby within earshot on Sunday morning. Their website provides a program schedule of who's on when and Sunday from 9 AM - noon is the only part of it that's blank.

Meanwhile, the show continues to run on The Grand 92.9, on Sundays from 6 PM - 9 PM. Not only do they still air it, they also list the entire playlist for the show in advance and the December 26th episode is all Christmas. (A day too late - they probably should have done it last week. But perhaps there are stations that still run it on Saturdays and it would make more sense then.) You can see the entire playlist here.

By the way, for those interested in these kinds of things, here's the official clock for the show.

Ashby had said last week that this week's show would be all Christmas -- and not surprisingly, it looks like last year's show was used again. Not sure if the way things worked out might have led to some stations not wanting to air it on the day after Christmas, so it will be interesting to see what happens next week. And as an aside, it's good to see that even in an all-Christmas show, he still managed to include a song by Paul Anka and two by Jack Scott.

Evanov doesn't keep those schedule grids current week-to-week for vacations, etc, so I'd say it's gone. 91.9 Lindsay dropped it too when they moved from BOB to BOUNCE. At this point, there's no point in continuing to produce it, unless AM740 shows some interest now that Lite's likely out of the picture.

It's not until tonight at 6pm, but it is still shown on CKDO's website at https://www.ckdo.ca/index.php/on-air. However, the situation is a bit muddled. They have a new show listing at https://www.ckdo.ca/documents/roger.pdf, but it's dated Jan. 2, 2021. That could indicate a repeat, but since it's not the same show as he did a year ago it may just be that someone typed 2021 instead of 2022.

Shockingly, there are no Anka or Scott records in Ashby's playlist this week. What in the world's come over him?

CKWW in Windsor runs the program Saturday mornings at 9am.  The double play show from the above link was what ran yesterday.
